Hello! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I went out with some friends last night to watch the Lions game. It looked good for awhile, but sadly they lost in the end . It was a fun night, but I forgot to take any pictures per usual I guess…gotta start being better about that.
This morning, Meredith, Kristen and I headed to a new restaurant/bar that I have been wanting to try called Derby. It is just a few blocks from our apartment which is nice. We all ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich. I got tator tots with mine and it came with a TON of tots. Like too many almost. I ended up eating about half of them–which still was too much I think. The sandwich had cheese and a jalapeno coleslaw on top which I think made the sandwich a lot more flavorful.
I definitely want to go back to try a few more things–they have a really big menu. Another cool thing is that each item on the menu is named after a Derby horse and the year that that certain horse won the derby.
I also have a new workout that I really liked. I wanted to get some weights in yesterday but I didn’t have a ton of time. I ran for a few minutes on the treadmill and then did combo of weights and plyometrics workout. It moves quickly and doesn’t take much time but it is very effective. I had to take a couple breaks because I could barely breathe and today I am super sore.
