This week Katie and I will share some Thanksgiving recipes with you, some old favorites and some new discoveries. Today I have a new discovery to share and it’s so good. It will be a fun addition to any Thanksgiving celebration. So, while you are planning out your menu for the upcoming holiday, feel free to give this a try and if you’re the type to get a bit stressed about holidays, entertaining and cooking, I think this will help you out.
I saw something similar to this in a magazine in the last month or so but can’t recall where. This is my version of a pumpkin cider cocktail and I hope you like it. It’s pretty good minus the rum so kids could enjoy the virgin version. The flavor of the pumpkin is quite subtle but the flavor of the pumpkin really compliments the cider and of course the rum adds a nice little kick.

2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
1 ½ ounces rum
Cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)
Combine cider and pumpkin in a small pitcher or measuring cup. Stir until well blended, stir in rum and and pour over ice. Garnish with
